Mercedes C220d remap — Stage 1 & 2, measured on our dyno
The C220d is one of the most rewarding diesels to calibrate: the OM651 and OM654 families leave real torque on the table, and a proper Stage 1 transforms the mid-range without touching hardware. Every map here is written for your specific car and verified before/after on our own dyno — not a generic file with your VIN pasted in.
What a C220d Stage 1 involves
Torque request, boost targets, rail pressure, injection timing and smoke limiters — recalibrated together, inside the mechanical limits of the engine, gearbox and DPF system. The result you feel is mid-range: the car pulls from lower revs and stops hunting for downshifts on the motorway.
On the 9G-Tronic cars the gearbox torque limiter matters as much as the engine map — a Stage 1 that ignores it either gets clipped or hammers the transmission. We calibrate around it, and where the box needs its own attention we say so before you pay.
Honest numbers — what we have and haven't measured
We do not yet publish a C220d before/after of our own — and we won't invent one. What we publish is our measured Mercedes and diesel work, on the same dyno your car would go on:
| Car | Work | Power | Torque |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mercedes Vito 2.2 diesel (W447) | Stage 2 | 141 → 217 hp | 321 → 494 Nm |
| Mercedes GLA 180 | Stage 1 | 109 → 140 hp | 260 → 310 Nm |
| Mercedes SLK (R171) 1.8 | Custom | 166 → 203 hp | 255 → 294 Nm |
| BMW X3 3.0d | Stage 1 | 286 → 340 hp | 516 → 580 Nm |
| Porsche Cayenne 3.0 TDI | Stage 1 | 245 → 310 hp | 550 → 700 Nm |
| BMW 123d | Stage 2 | 204 → 250 hp | 400 → 460 Nm |
The Vito shares the C220d's OM651 engine family. Your C220d's own numbers get measured before and after on the day — and with your permission, published here. Full 86-car database on the dyno page.
Prices
| Service | Includes | Ex VAT |
|---|---|---|
| Stage 1 | Custom map per VIN, dyno before/after, stock backup, revisions | €450 |
| Stage 2 | With hardware (intake, intercooler, exhaust) — full recalibration | €500 |
| Dyno measurement only | Three pulls, power & torque graph | €50 |
| Remote | Where the platform supports it — file + datalogs | from €450 |
What we will not do
DPF or AdBlue removal on a road car — it is illegal for EU road use and it is how a €450 map becomes a €4,000 problem at inspection. A C220d Stage 1 done properly needs neither.
FAQ
How much power does a C220d remap add?
We publish only measured numbers, and we have not yet published a C220d of our own. On the same engine family, our measured Vito 2.2 diesel went from 141 to 217 hp and 321 to 494 Nm at Stage 2. Your car's actual result is measured before and after on the day — that measurement is included in the price.
W204, W205 or W206 — which do you cover?
All three generations can be calibrated; the ECU family and read method (OBD or bench) differ by year. Send your year and we confirm the route and exact price before you book.
Is Stage 2 worth it on the C220d?
Only after Stage 1 and only with the hardware to justify it. Stage 1 captures most of the drivable gain; Stage 2 makes sense when intake, intercooler or exhaust have changed. We will tell you honestly which side of that line your car is on.
Does it affect the 9G-Tronic gearbox?
The gearbox torque limiter is part of the calibration conversation. We map within its limits, and where the transmission itself needs attention we say so up front.
Warranty and detectability?
A remap is detectable by the dealer and typically voids the powertrain warranty. Your stock file is archived and restorable at any time — but we will not tell you it is invisible.
