A turbocharged petrol responds to a remap mostly through boost and ignition timing. Taking the 2.0 TSI from 190 hp to 241 hp, with torque from 320 Nm to 402 Nm, sharpens throttle response and shortens the gap between asking for power and getting it — the car stops feeling like it is thinking about it first.
