Factory output for the Peugeot 307 1.6 HDi is 90 hp and 215 Nm. A Stage 1 remap targets 119 hp and 266 Nm — 29 hp (+32%) and 51 Nm (+24%).

Those are the figures we work to on this engine. They are a starting point, not a promise: the number we hand back is the one your car makes on our dyno, measured before and after on the same day, in the same conditions.

Where the 51 Nm shows up

On a diesel the useful change is torque, not peak power. Going from 215 Nm to 266 Nm fills in the mid-range, which is where a Peugeot 307 actually spends its time — pulling from 1,800 to 3,000 rpm in a high gear, overtaking without dropping two gears, towing or carrying weight without the engine falling on its face.

Peak power moves too, 90 hp to 119 hp, but you will feel the 51 Nm far more often than the 29 hp.

We read the ECU, log the car as it stands, and put it on the dyno to confirm the 90 hp baseline — a tired or faulty engine gets diagnosed before it gets mapped, not after.

The calibration is written for your car, not pulled from a file library. We adjust fuelling, ignition timing, injection timing and boost, then re-run the dyno to verify the 119 hp and 266 Nm figure and check knock, lambda and temperatures under load.
