What 39 hp changes on the road
A turbocharged petrol responds to a remap mostly through boost and ignition timing. Taking the 1.6 THP from 155 hp to 194 hp, with torque from 240 Nm to 303 Nm, sharpens throttle response and shortens the gap between asking for power and getting it — the car stops feeling like it is thinking about it first.
Gains of this size (+25%) are normal for this kind of engine on pump fuel, with no hardware changes.
What Stage 1 involves on a Peugeot 308
We read the ECU, log the car as it stands, and put it on the dyno to confirm the 155 hp baseline — a tired or faulty engine gets diagnosed before it gets mapped, not after.
The calibration is written for your car, not pulled from a file library. We adjust fuelling, ignition timing and boost pressure, then re-run the dyno to verify the 194 hp and 303 Nm figure and check knock, lambda and temperatures under load.
