What 20 hp changes on the road

A turbocharged petrol responds to a remap mostly through boost and ignition timing. Taking the 1.3T from 150 hp to 170 hp, with torque from 270 Nm to 310 Nm, sharpens throttle response and shortens the gap between asking for power and getting it — the car stops feeling like it is thinking about it first.

Gains of this size (+13%) are normal for this kind of engine on pump fuel, with no hardware changes.
