✓ We have run a Ford Ranger like this on our own dyno
This is not a figure copied from a database. We hold a real before/after DynoRevolt sheet for the 2.5 TDCi — the 143 hp baseline and the Stage 1 result, measured in our own workshop, not estimated. Ask to see the run for your car.
Ford Ranger Stage 1: 143 hp → 180 hp
Factory output for the Ford Ranger 2.5 TDCi is 143 hp and 330 Nm. A Stage 1 remap targets 180 hp and 420 Nm — 37 hp (+26%) and 90 Nm (+27%).
Those are the figures we work to on this engine. They are a starting point, not a promise: the number we hand back is the one your car makes on our dyno, measured before and after on the same day, in the same conditions.
Where the 90 Nm shows up
On a diesel the useful change is torque, not peak power. Going from 330 Nm to 420 Nm fills in the mid-range, which is where a Ford Ranger actually spends its time — pulling from 1,800 to 3,000 rpm in a high gear, overtaking without dropping two gears, towing or carrying weight without the engine falling on its face.
Peak power moves too, 143 hp to 180 hp, but you will feel the 90 Nm far more often than the 37 hp.
What Stage 1 involves on a Ford Ranger
We read the ECU, log the car as it stands, and put it on the dyno to confirm the 143 hp baseline — a tired or faulty engine gets diagnosed before it gets mapped, not after.
The calibration is written for your car, not pulled from a file library. We adjust fuelling, ignition timing, injection timing and boost, then re-run the dyno to verify the 180 hp and 420 Nm figure and check knock, lambda and temperatures under load.
Turnaround is same-day for most cars. Stock file is archived, so the car can go back to standard whenever you want.
