Factory output for the Audi A4 3.0 TDI DPF is 240 hp and 500 Nm. A Stage 1 remap targets 305 hp and 603 Nm — 65 hp (+27%) and 103 Nm (+21%).

Those are the figures we work to on this engine. They are a starting point, not a promise: the number we hand back is the one your car makes on our dyno, measured before and after on the same day, in the same conditions.

Where the 103 Nm shows up

On a diesel the useful change is torque, not peak power. Going from 500 Nm to 603 Nm fills in the mid-range, which is where an Audi A4 actually spends its time — pulling from 1,800 to 3,000 rpm in a high gear, overtaking without dropping two gears, towing or carrying weight without the engine falling on its face.

Peak power moves too, 240 hp to 305 hp, but you will feel the 103 Nm far more often than the 65 hp.

The calibration is written for your car, not pulled from a file library. We adjust fuelling, ignition timing, injection timing and boost, then re-run the dyno to verify the 305 hp and 603 Nm figure and check knock, lambda and temperatures under load.
