Where the 48 Nm shows up

On a diesel the useful change is torque, not peak power. Going from 285 Nm to 333 Nm fills in the mid-range, which is where a Peugeot 5008 actually spends its time — pulling from 1,800 to 3,000 rpm in a high gear, overtaking without dropping two gears, towing or carrying weight without the engine falling on its face.

Peak power moves too, 112 hp to 145 hp, but you will feel the 48 Nm far more often than the 33 hp.

We read the ECU, log the car as it stands, and put it on the dyno to confirm the 112 hp baseline — a tired or faulty engine gets diagnosed before it gets mapped, not after.

The calibration is written for your car, not pulled from a file library. We adjust fuelling, ignition timing, injection timing and boost, then re-run the dyno to verify the 145 hp and 333 Nm figure and check knock, lambda and temperatures under load.
