Factory output for the Land Rover Range Rover / Sport 2.0 SD4 is 240 hp and 500 Nm. A Stage 1 remap targets 250 hp and 550 Nm — 10 hp (+4%) and 50 Nm (+10%).

Those are the figures we work to on this engine. They are a starting point, not a promise: the number we hand back is the one your car makes on our dyno, measured before and after on the same day, in the same conditions.

Where the 50 Nm shows up

On a diesel the useful change is torque, not peak power. Going from 500 Nm to 550 Nm fills in the mid-range, which is where a Land Rover Range Rover / Sport actually spends its time — pulling from 1,800 to 3,000 rpm in a high gear, overtaking without dropping two gears, towing or carrying weight without the engine falling on its face.

Peak power moves too, 240 hp to 250 hp, but you will feel the 50 Nm far more often than the 10 hp.
