Those are the figures we work to on this engine. They are a starting point, not a promise: the number we hand back is the one your car makes on our dyno, measured before and after on the same day, in the same conditions.
Where the 35 Nm shows up
On a diesel the useful change is torque, not peak power. Going from 430 Nm to 465 Nm fills in the mid-range, which is where a Land Rover Velar actually spends its time — pulling from 1,800 to 3,000 rpm in a high gear, overtaking without dropping two gears, towing or carrying weight without the engine falling on its face.
Peak power moves too, 180 hp to 210 hp, but you will feel the 35 Nm far more often than the 30 hp.

The calibration is written for your car, not pulled from a file library. We adjust fuelling, ignition timing, injection timing and boost, then re-run the dyno to verify the 210 hp and 465 Nm figure and check knock, lambda and temperatures under load.
Turnaround is same-day for most cars. Stock file is archived, so the car can go back to standard whenever you want.
