Factory output for the Honda CR-V 1.6 I-dtec is 160 hp and 350 Nm. A Stage 1 remap targets 190 hp and 410 Nm — 30 hp (+19%) and 60 Nm (+17%).

Those are the figures we work to on this engine. They are a starting point, not a promise: the number we hand back is the one your car makes on our dyno, measured before and after on the same day, in the same conditions.

Where the 60 Nm shows up

On a diesel the useful change is torque, not peak power. Going from 350 Nm to 410 Nm fills in the mid-range, which is where a Honda CR-V actually spends its time — pulling from 1,800 to 3,000 rpm in a high gear, overtaking without dropping two gears, towing or carrying weight without the engine falling on its face.

Peak power moves too, 160 hp to 190 hp, but you will feel the 60 Nm far more often than the 30 hp.

The calibration is written for your car, not pulled from a file library. We adjust fuelling, ignition timing, injection timing and boost, then re-run the dyno to verify the 190 hp and 410 Nm figure and check knock, lambda and temperatures under load.
