What 27 hp changes on the road

A turbocharged petrol responds to a remap mostly through boost and ignition timing. Taking the 1.5 VTEC Turbo from 193 hp to 220 hp, with torque from 243 Nm to 300 Nm, sharpens throttle response and shortens the gap between asking for power and getting it — the car stops feeling like it is thinking about it first.
