What 28 hp changes on the road

A turbocharged petrol responds to a remap mostly through boost and ignition timing. Taking the 1.6 MultiJet from 130 hp to 158 hp, with torque from 320 Nm to 384 Nm, sharpens throttle response and shortens the gap between asking for power and getting it — the car stops feeling like it is thinking about it first.

Gains of this size (+22%) are normal for this kind of engine on pump fuel, with no hardware changes.

What Stage 1 involves on a Fiat 500X

We read the ECU, log the car as it stands, and put it on the dyno to confirm the 130 hp baseline — a tired or faulty engine gets diagnosed before it gets mapped, not after.

The calibration is written for your car, not pulled from a file library. We adjust fuelling, ignition timing and boost pressure, then re-run the dyno to verify the 158 hp and 384 Nm figure and check knock, lambda and temperatures under load.

Turnaround is same-day for most cars. Stock file is archived, so the car can go back to standard whenever you want.
