Factory output for the Chevrolet Lacetti 2.0 Vcdi is 121 hp and 280 Nm. A Stage 1 remap targets 155 hp and 330 Nm — 34 hp (+28%) and 50 Nm (+18%).

Those are the figures we work to on this engine. They are a starting point, not a promise: the number we hand back is the one your car makes on our dyno, measured before and after on the same day, in the same conditions.

Where the 50 Nm shows up

On a diesel the useful change is torque, not peak power. Going from 280 Nm to 330 Nm fills in the mid-range, which is where a Chevrolet Lacetti actually spends its time — pulling from 1,800 to 3,000 rpm in a high gear, overtaking without dropping two gears, towing or carrying weight without the engine falling on its face.

Peak power moves too, 121 hp to 155 hp, but you will feel the 50 Nm far more often than the 34 hp.
