Where the 60 Nm shows up

On a diesel the useful change is torque, not peak power. Going from 270 Nm to 330 Nm fills in the mid-range, which is where a BMW 2 Series GC actually spends its time — pulling from 1,800 to 3,000 rpm in a high gear, overtaking without dropping two gears, towing or carrying weight without the engine falling on its face.

Peak power moves too, 116 hp to 150 hp, but you will feel the 60 Nm far more often than the 34 hp.
