Factory output for the BMW 1 Series 1M - 3.0i Bi-turbo is 340 hp and 500 Nm. A Stage 1 remap targets 375 hp and 560 Nm — 35 hp (+10%) and 60 Nm (+12%).

Those are the figures we work to on this engine. They are a starting point, not a promise: the number we hand back is the one your car makes on our dyno, measured before and after on the same day, in the same conditions.

What 35 hp changes on the road

A turbocharged petrol responds to a remap mostly through boost and ignition timing. Taking the 1M - 3.0i Bi-turbo from 340 hp to 375 hp, with torque from 500 Nm to 560 Nm, sharpens throttle response and shortens the gap between asking for power and getting it — the car stops feeling like it is thinking about it first.

Gains of this size (+10%) are normal for this kind of engine on pump fuel, with no hardware changes.
