Factory output for the Audi RS6 4.0 TFSI is 600 hp and 800 Nm. A Stage 1 remap targets 680 hp and 950 Nm — 80 hp (+13%) and 150 Nm (+19%).
Those are the figures we work to on this engine. They are a starting point, not a promise: the number we hand back is the one your car makes on our dyno, measured before and after on the same day, in the same conditions.
What 80 hp changes on the road
A turbocharged petrol responds to a remap mostly through boost and ignition timing. Taking the 4.0 TFSI from 600 hp to 680 hp, with torque from 800 Nm to 950 Nm, sharpens throttle response and shortens the gap between asking for power and getting it — the car stops feeling like it is thinking about it first.
Gains of this size (+13%) are normal for this kind of engine on pump fuel, with no hardware changes.
What Stage 1 involves on an Audi RS6
We read the ECU, log the car as it stands, and put it on the dyno to confirm the 600 hp baseline — a tired or faulty engine gets diagnosed before it gets mapped, not after.
The calibration is written for your car, not pulled from a file library. We adjust fuelling, ignition timing and boost pressure, then re-run the dyno to verify the 680 hp and 950 Nm figure and check knock, lambda and temperatures under load.
Turnaround is same-day for most cars. Stock file is archived, so the car can go back to standard whenever you want.
