Where the 120 Nm shows up

On a diesel the useful change is torque, not peak power. Going from 760 Nm to 880 Nm fills in the mid-range, which is where an Audi Q7 actually spends its time — pulling from 1,800 to 3,000 rpm in a high gear, overtaking without dropping two gears, towing or carrying weight without the engine falling on its face.

Peak power moves too, 326 hp to 380 hp, but you will feel the 120 Nm far more often than the 54 hp.
