Factory output for the Toyota Yaris Cross 1.4 D4D is 90 hp and 190 Nm. A Stage 1 remap targets 118 hp and 254 Nm — 28 hp (+31%) and 64 Nm (+34%).

Those are the figures we work to on this engine. They are a starting point, not a promise: the number we hand back is the one your car makes on our dyno, measured before and after on the same day, in the same conditions.

Where the 64 Nm shows up

On a diesel the useful change is torque, not peak power. Going from 190 Nm to 254 Nm fills in the mid-range, which is where a Toyota Yaris Cross actually spends its time — pulling from 1,800 to 3,000 rpm in a high gear, overtaking without dropping two gears, towing or carrying weight without the engine falling on its face.

Peak power moves too, 90 hp to 118 hp, but you will feel the 64 Nm far more often than the 28 hp.
