Where the 75 Nm shows up
On a diesel the useful change is torque, not peak power. Going from 250 Nm to 325 Nm fills in the mid-range, which is where a Suzuki Grand Vitara actually spends its time — pulling from 1,800 to 3,000 rpm in a high gear, overtaking without dropping two gears, towing or carrying weight without the engine falling on its face.
Peak power moves too, 109 hp to 145 hp, but you will feel the 75 Nm far more often than the 36 hp.
