Where the 87 Nm shows up

On a diesel the useful change is torque, not peak power. Going from 240 Nm to 327 Nm fills in the mid-range, which is where a Seat Cordoba actually spends its time — pulling from 1,800 to 3,000 rpm in a high gear, overtaking without dropping two gears, towing or carrying weight without the engine falling on its face.

Peak power moves too, 100 hp to 143 hp, but you will feel the 87 Nm far more often than the 43 hp.
