What 36 hp changes on the road

A turbocharged petrol responds to a remap mostly through boost and ignition timing. Taking the 3.0 dCi from 150 hp to 186 hp, with torque from 350 Nm to 435 Nm, sharpens throttle response and shortens the gap between asking for power and getting it — the car stops feeling like it is thinking about it first.
