What 37 hp changes on the road
A turbocharged petrol responds to a remap mostly through boost and ignition timing. Taking the 2.2 dCi from 150 hp to 187 hp, with torque from 320 Nm to 382 Nm, sharpens throttle response and shortens the gap between asking for power and getting it — the car stops feeling like it is thinking about it first.
Gains of this size (+25%) are normal for this kind of engine on pump fuel, with no hardware changes.
What Stage 1 involves on a Renault Espace
We read the ECU, log the car as it stands, and put it on the dyno to confirm the 150 hp baseline — a tired or faulty engine gets diagnosed before it gets mapped, not after.
