A turbocharged petrol responds to a remap mostly through boost and ignition timing. Taking the 1.7 CDTI from 125 hp to 154 hp, with torque from 280 Nm to 337 Nm, sharpens throttle response and shortens the gap between asking for power and getting it — the car stops feeling like it is thinking about it first.
