Factory output for the Opel Corsa 1.7 CDTI is 125 hp and 280 Nm. A Stage 1 remap targets 150 hp and 330 Nm — 25 hp (+20%) and 50 Nm (+18%).
Those are the figures we work to on this engine. They are a starting point, not a promise: the number we hand back is the one your car makes on our dyno, measured before and after on the same day, in the same conditions.
Where the 50 Nm shows up
On a diesel the useful change is torque, not peak power. Going from 280 Nm to 330 Nm fills in the mid-range, which is where an Opel Corsa actually spends its time — pulling from 1,800 to 3,000 rpm in a high gear, overtaking without dropping two gears, towing or carrying weight without the engine falling on its face.
Peak power moves too, 125 hp to 150 hp, but you will feel the 50 Nm far more often than the 25 hp.
What Stage 1 involves on an Opel Corsa
We read the ECU, log the car as it stands, and put it on the dyno to confirm the 125 hp baseline — a tired or faulty engine gets diagnosed before it gets mapped, not after.
The calibration is written for your car, not pulled from a file library. We adjust fuelling, ignition timing, injection timing and boost, then re-run the dyno to verify the 150 hp and 330 Nm figure and check knock, lambda and temperatures under load.
Turnaround is same-day for most cars. Stock file is archived, so the car can go back to standard whenever you want.
