Where the 70 Nm shows up

On a diesel the useful change is torque, not peak power. Going from 380 Nm to 450 Nm fills in the mid-range, which is where a Mitsubishi Outlander actually spends its time — pulling from 1,800 to 3,000 rpm in a high gear, overtaking without dropping two gears, towing or carrying weight without the engine falling on its face.

Peak power moves too, 156 hp to 186 hp, but you will feel the 70 Nm far more often than the 30 hp.
