What 39 hp changes on the road

A turbocharged petrol responds to a remap mostly through boost and ignition timing. Taking the 2.2 CRDi from 197 hp to 236 hp, with torque from 436 Nm to 504 Nm, sharpens throttle response and shortens the gap between asking for power and getting it — the car stops feeling like it is thinking about it first.
