Factory output for the Jeep Renegade 2.0 JTDm is 170 hp and 350 Nm. A Stage 1 remap targets 189 hp and 437 Nm — 19 hp (+11%) and 87 Nm (+25%).

Those are the figures we work to on this engine. They are a starting point, not a promise: the number we hand back is the one your car makes on our dyno, measured before and after on the same day, in the same conditions.

What 19 hp changes on the road

A turbocharged petrol responds to a remap mostly through boost and ignition timing. Taking the 2.0 JTDm from 170 hp to 189 hp, with torque from 350 Nm to 437 Nm, sharpens throttle response and shortens the gap between asking for power and getting it — the car stops feeling like it is thinking about it first.

Gains of this size (+11%) are normal for this kind of engine on pump fuel, with no hardware changes.

What Stage 1 involves on a Jeep Renegade

We read the ECU, log the car as it stands, and put it on the dyno to confirm the 170 hp baseline — a tired or faulty engine gets diagnosed before it gets mapped, not after.

The calibration is written for your car, not pulled from a file library. We adjust fuelling, ignition timing and boost pressure, then re-run the dyno to verify the 189 hp and 437 Nm figure and check knock, lambda and temperatures under load.
