Factory output for the Jaguar XF Sportbrake 2.2D is 200 hp and 450 Nm. A Stage 1 remap targets 235 hp and 520 Nm — 35 hp (+18%) and 70 Nm (+16%).

Those are the figures we work to on this engine. They are a starting point, not a promise: the number we hand back is the one your car makes on our dyno, measured before and after on the same day, in the same conditions.

Where the 70 Nm shows up

On a diesel the useful change is torque, not peak power. Going from 450 Nm to 520 Nm fills in the mid-range, which is where a Jaguar XF Sportbrake actually spends its time — pulling from 1,800 to 3,000 rpm in a high gear, overtaking without dropping two gears, towing or carrying weight without the engine falling on its face.

Peak power moves too, 200 hp to 235 hp, but you will feel the 70 Nm far more often than the 35 hp.

The calibration is written for your car, not pulled from a file library. We adjust fuelling, ignition timing, injection timing and boost, then re-run the dyno to verify the 235 hp and 520 Nm figure and check knock, lambda and temperatures under load.
