What 10 hp changes on the road

A turbocharged petrol responds to a remap mostly through boost and ignition timing. Taking the P250 (2.0t) from 250 hp to 260 hp, with torque from 365 Nm to 440 Nm, sharpens throttle response and shortens the gap between asking for power and getting it — the car stops feeling like it is thinking about it first.

Gains of this size (+4%) are normal for this kind of engine on pump fuel, with no hardware changes.
