Factory output for the Hyundai Grandeur 2.2 CRDi is 155 hp and 343 Nm. A Stage 1 remap targets 182 hp and 420 Nm — 27 hp (+17%) and 77 Nm (+22%).

Those are the figures we work to on this engine. They are a starting point, not a promise: the number we hand back is the one your car makes on our dyno, measured before and after on the same day, in the same conditions.

Where the 77 Nm shows up

On a diesel the useful change is torque, not peak power. Going from 343 Nm to 420 Nm fills in the mid-range, which is where a Hyundai Grandeur actually spends its time — pulling from 1,800 to 3,000 rpm in a high gear, overtaking without dropping two gears, towing or carrying weight without the engine falling on its face.

Peak power moves too, 155 hp to 182 hp, but you will feel the 77 Nm far more often than the 27 hp.
