What 30 hp changes on the road

A turbocharged petrol responds to a remap mostly through boost and ignition timing. Taking the 2.3 EcoBoost from 290 hp to 320 hp, with torque from 450 Nm to 520 Nm, sharpens throttle response and shortens the gap between asking for power and getting it — the car stops feeling like it is thinking about it first.
