What 25 hp changes on the road

A turbocharged petrol responds to a remap mostly through boost and ignition timing. Taking the 2.0T EcoBoost from 245 hp to 270 hp, with torque from 394 Nm to 430 Nm, sharpens throttle response and shortens the gap between asking for power and getting it — the car stops feeling like it is thinking about it first.

The calibration is written for your car, not pulled from a file library. We adjust fuelling, ignition timing and boost pressure, then re-run the dyno to verify the 270 hp and 430 Nm figure and check knock, lambda and temperatures under load.
