What 10 hp changes on the road

A turbocharged petrol responds to a remap mostly through boost and ignition timing. Taking the 2.0 ST EcoBoost from 250 hp to 260 hp, with torque from 340 Nm to 440 Nm, sharpens throttle response and shortens the gap between asking for power and getting it — the car stops feeling like it is thinking about it first.
