What 5 hp changes on the road

A turbocharged petrol responds to a remap mostly through boost and ignition timing. Taking the 1.0T EcoBoost from 140 hp to 145 hp, with torque from 180 Nm to 240 Nm, sharpens throttle response and shortens the gap between asking for power and getting it — the car stops feeling like it is thinking about it first.
