Factory output for the Ford F-250 6.4 V8 is 350 hp and 881 Nm. A Stage 1 remap targets 390 hp and 930 Nm — 40 hp (+11%) and 49 Nm (+6%).

Those are the figures we work to on this engine. They are a starting point, not a promise: the number we hand back is the one your car makes on our dyno, measured before and after on the same day, in the same conditions.

Where the 49 Nm shows up

On a diesel the useful change is torque, not peak power. Going from 881 Nm to 930 Nm fills in the mid-range, which is where a Ford F-250 actually spends its time — pulling from 1,800 to 3,000 rpm in a high gear, overtaking without dropping two gears, towing or carrying weight without the engine falling on its face.

Peak power moves too, 350 hp to 390 hp, but you will feel the 49 Nm far more often than the 40 hp.
