What 40 hp changes on the road

A turbocharged petrol responds to a remap mostly through boost and ignition timing. Taking the 3.5T EcoBoost from 450 hp to 490 hp, with torque from 691 Nm to 760 Nm, sharpens throttle response and shortens the gap between asking for power and getting it — the car stops feeling like it is thinking about it first.
