What 35 hp changes on the road

A turbocharged petrol responds to a remap mostly through boost and ignition timing. Taking the 3.0 JTDm from 158 hp to 193 hp, with torque from 408 Nm to 505 Nm, sharpens throttle response and shortens the gap between asking for power and getting it — the car stops feeling like it is thinking about it first.

We read the ECU, log the car as it stands, and put it on the dyno to confirm the 158 hp baseline — a tired or faulty engine gets diagnosed before it gets mapped, not after.

The calibration is written for your car, not pulled from a file library. We adjust fuelling, ignition timing and boost pressure, then re-run the dyno to verify the 193 hp and 505 Nm figure and check knock, lambda and temperatures under load.
