Factory output for the Fiat Bravo 1.6 JTDm is 120 hp and 300 Nm. A Stage 1 remap targets 151 hp and 387 Nm — 31 hp (+26%) and 87 Nm (+29%).

What 31 hp changes on the road

A turbocharged petrol responds to a remap mostly through boost and ignition timing. Taking the 1.6 JTDm from 120 hp to 151 hp, with torque from 300 Nm to 387 Nm, sharpens throttle response and shortens the gap between asking for power and getting it — the car stops feeling like it is thinking about it first.

Gains of this size (+26%) are normal for this kind of engine on pump fuel, with no hardware changes.

What Stage 1 involves on a Fiat Bravo

We read the ECU, log the car as it stands, and put it on the dyno to confirm the 120 hp baseline — a tired or faulty engine gets diagnosed before it gets mapped, not after.

The calibration is written for your car, not pulled from a file library. We adjust fuelling, ignition timing and boost pressure, then re-run the dyno to verify the 151 hp and 387 Nm figure and check knock, lambda and temperatures under load.
