Factory output for the DS Ds5 1.6 THP is 160 hp and 240 Nm. A Stage 1 remap targets 193 hp and 306 Nm — 33 hp (+21%) and 66 Nm (+28%).

Those are the figures we work to on this engine. They are a starting point, not a promise: the number we hand back is the one your car makes on our dyno, measured before and after on the same day, in the same conditions.

What 33 hp changes on the road

A turbocharged petrol responds to a remap mostly through boost and ignition timing. Taking the 1.6 THP from 160 hp to 193 hp, with torque from 240 Nm to 306 Nm, sharpens throttle response and shortens the gap between asking for power and getting it — the car stops feeling like it is thinking about it first.

Gains of this size (+21%) are normal for this kind of engine on pump fuel, with no hardware changes.

What Stage 1 involves on a DS Ds5

We read the ECU, log the car as it stands, and put it on the dyno to confirm the 160 hp baseline — a tired or faulty engine gets diagnosed before it gets mapped, not after.

The calibration is written for your car, not pulled from a file library. We adjust fuelling, ignition timing and boost pressure, then re-run the dyno to verify the 193 hp and 306 Nm figure and check knock, lambda and temperatures under load.

Turnaround is same-day for most cars. Stock file is archived, so the car can go back to standard whenever you want.
