Factory output for the DS Ds4 1.6 THP is 165 hp and 240 Nm. A Stage 1 remap targets 197 hp and 326 Nm — 32 hp (+19%) and 86 Nm (+36%).
Those are the figures we work to on this engine. They are a starting point, not a promise: the number we hand back is the one your car makes on our dyno, measured before and after on the same day, in the same conditions.
What 32 hp changes on the road
A turbocharged petrol responds to a remap mostly through boost and ignition timing. Taking the 1.6 THP from 165 hp to 197 hp, with torque from 240 Nm to 326 Nm, sharpens throttle response and shortens the gap between asking for power and getting it — the car stops feeling like it is thinking about it first.
Gains of this size (+19%) are normal for this kind of engine on pump fuel, with no hardware changes.
What Stage 1 involves on a DS Ds4
We read the ECU, log the car as it stands, and put it on the dyno to confirm the 165 hp baseline — a tired or faulty engine gets diagnosed before it gets mapped, not after.
The calibration is written for your car, not pulled from a file library. We adjust fuelling, ignition timing and boost pressure, then re-run the dyno to verify the 197 hp and 326 Nm figure and check knock, lambda and temperatures under load.
Turnaround is same-day for most cars. Stock file is archived, so the car can go back to standard whenever you want.
