Factory output for the Dacia Duster 1.3 TCe is 150 hp and 260 Nm. A Stage 1 remap targets 172 hp and 306 Nm — 22 hp (+15%) and 46 Nm (+18%).

Those are the figures we work to on this engine. They are a starting point, not a promise: the number we hand back is the one your car makes on our dyno, measured before and after on the same day, in the same conditions.

What 22 hp changes on the road

A turbocharged petrol responds to a remap mostly through boost and ignition timing. Taking the 1.3 TCe from 150 hp to 172 hp, with torque from 260 Nm to 306 Nm, sharpens throttle response and shortens the gap between asking for power and getting it — the car stops feeling like it is thinking about it first.

Gains of this size (+15%) are normal for this kind of engine on pump fuel, with no hardware changes.

What Stage 1 involves on a Dacia Duster

We read the ECU, log the car as it stands, and put it on the dyno to confirm the 150 hp baseline — a tired or faulty engine gets diagnosed before it gets mapped, not after.

The calibration is written for your car, not pulled from a file library. We adjust fuelling, ignition timing and boost pressure, then re-run the dyno to verify the 172 hp and 306 Nm figure and check knock, lambda and temperatures under load.
