Where the 35 Nm shows up

On a diesel the useful change is torque, not peak power. Going from 230 Nm to 265 Nm fills in the mid-range, which is where a Citroen Ds3 actually spends its time — pulling from 1,800 to 3,000 rpm in a high gear, overtaking without dropping two gears, towing or carrying weight without the engine falling on its face.

Peak power moves too, 92 hp to 118 hp, but you will feel the 35 Nm far more often than the 26 hp.
