What 180 hp changes on the road

A turbocharged petrol responds to a remap mostly through boost and ignition timing. Taking the 3.0 Bi-turbo from 460 hp to 640 hp, with torque from 550 Nm to 800 Nm, sharpens throttle response and shortens the gap between asking for power and getting it — the car stops feeling like it is thinking about it first.

Gains of this size (+39%) are normal for this kind of engine on pump fuel, with no hardware changes.

What Stage 1 involves on a BMW M2

We read the ECU, log the car as it stands, and put it on the dyno to confirm the 460 hp baseline — a tired or faulty engine gets diagnosed before it gets mapped, not after.

The calibration is written for your car, not pulled from a file library. We adjust fuelling, ignition timing and boost pressure, then re-run the dyno to verify the 640 hp and 800 Nm figure and check knock, lambda and temperatures under load.

Turnaround is same-day for most cars. Stock file is archived, so the car can go back to standard whenever you want.
