What 120 hp changes on the road

A turbocharged petrol responds to a remap mostly through boost and ignition timing. Taking the M5 Bi-turbo from 560 hp to 680 hp, with torque from 680 Nm to 850 Nm, sharpens throttle response and shortens the gap between asking for power and getting it — the car stops feeling like it is thinking about it first.

Gains of this size (+21%) are normal for this kind of engine on pump fuel, with no hardware changes.

We read the ECU, log the car as it stands, and put it on the dyno to confirm the 560 hp baseline — a tired or faulty engine gets diagnosed before it gets mapped, not after.

The calibration is written for your car, not pulled from a file library. We adjust fuelling, ignition timing and boost pressure, then re-run the dyno to verify the 680 hp and 850 Nm figure and check knock, lambda and temperatures under load.

Turnaround is same-day for most cars. Stock file is archived, so the car can go back to standard whenever you want.
