Where the 135 Nm shows up

On a diesel the useful change is torque, not peak power. Going from 800 Nm to 935 Nm fills in the mid-range, which is where an Audi A8 actually spends its time — pulling from 1,800 to 3,000 rpm in a high gear, overtaking without dropping two gears, towing or carrying weight without the engine falling on its face.

Peak power moves too, 350 hp to 407 hp, but you will feel the 135 Nm far more often than the 57 hp.
