Where the 125 Nm shows up

On a diesel the useful change is torque, not peak power. Going from 700 Nm to 825 Nm fills in the mid-range, which is where an Audi A7 actually spends its time — pulling from 1,800 to 3,000 rpm in a high gear, overtaking without dropping two gears, towing or carrying weight without the engine falling on its face.

Peak power moves too, 344 hp to 394 hp, but you will feel the 125 Nm far more often than the 50 hp.
