Where the 110 Nm shows up
On a diesel the useful change is torque, not peak power. Going from 340 Nm to 450 Nm fills in the mid-range, which is where an Audi A5 actually spends its time — pulling from 1,800 to 3,000 rpm in a high gear, overtaking without dropping two gears, towing or carrying weight without the engine falling on its face.
Peak power moves too, 163 hp to 210 hp, but you will feel the 110 Nm far more often than the 47 hp.
