The Enhanced MS3 for the MX-5 NC is another innovative product from MS Labs, offering full DBW (Drive-By-Wire) support and OBD-II compatibility, all in a plug-and-play package.

Key Features:

  • OEM Functionality Retained: ABS, DSC, A/C, and all standard CAN functions (odometer, immobilizer, etc.).
  • OBD-II Compatibility:
    • Mode 01: Realtime data and monitor status.
    • Mode 03: Stored DTCs.
    • Mode 04: Clear DTCs.
    • Mode 09: Retrieve ECU information.
  • Performance Upgrades:
    • Sequential ignition with support for R8 coils.
    • Electronic boost control.
    • Closed-loop lambda control (requires external lambda controller).
    • Switchable maps, launch control, and flatshift.
    • Flex fuel input.
  • Additional Features:
    • Realtime clock for logging time and date (SD card logging supported without PC).
    • Many functions are handled by additional processors but can still be configured via TunerStudio (cooling fans, A/C, idle control, check engine light, alternator control, and battery light).
